Export your Outlook calendar to Excel

The new Outlook has no Export to CSV, and the old Excel connector is being retired. OutlookXL exports any date range to a spreadsheet with proper dates and durations, plus hours-by-category and hours-by-week sheets for timesheets.

Open OutlookXL Free to try. No account needed.

How to export

  1. Open OutlookXL and sign in with Microsoft (or add a calendar link or .ics file).
  2. Tick the calendars and pick a date range: this week, this month, last month, this quarter, this year or custom.
  3. Preview the rows, then click Export .xlsx or Export .csv.

Columns

Subject, start date and time, end date and time, duration in hours, all-day flag, calendar, location, organizer, attendees, categories, show as, recurring, private, description and a link back to the event. Dates are real Excel dates, so sorting, filtering and pivot tables work.

Summaries for timesheets (Pro)

Extra sheets total your hours by category, by week and by calendar, excluding all-day events and time marked Free. Tag meetings with categories in Outlook (client names, projects) and the export becomes a timesheet.

Mail and contacts too

Pro also exports a mail folder (sender, recipients, subject, received, attachments, importance, read, categories, link) and your contacts (names, company, emails, phones, addresses) to Excel.

Your calendar, mail and contact data are read in your browser straight from Microsoft and are never uploaded to our servers.

Yes. Each occurrence in the range is a row, with the Recurring column set.

Does it work with Google Calendar?

Yes. Add your Google calendar's iCal address as a calendar link.
