Export Outlook contacts to Excel

The new Outlook moved contact export into the People app and it only produces a basic CSV. OutlookXL exports your contacts to Excel with one column per field.

How to export contacts

  1. Open OutlookXL, sign in with Microsoft and open the Contacts tab (Pro).
  2. Click Load contacts; all your contacts are read in pages.
  3. Preview, then Export .xlsx or .csv.

Columns

Display name, first name, last name, company, job title, email addresses, business phones, mobile, home phones, business address, home address, birthday, categories and notes.

Your calendar, mail and contact data are read in your browser straight from Microsoft and are never uploaded to our servers.

Frequently asked questions

Does it include contacts from Microsoft 365 directory?

It exports your personal contacts folder, which is what Outlook shows under People. Directory (address book) entries are not included.

Is it free?

Contact export is part of Pro. Calendar export has a free tier.
